BigCommerce is a hosted solution, which means you don’t have to invest in an in-house server or keep a programmer on staff to modify your website.
Their administrative back-end (what you’ll use to add products, create coupons, process orders) is straightforward and easy for non-technical people to use.
New features are continually developed by BigCommerce based on customer feedback and are added to your store automatically through a simple upgrade process.
You can accept a variety of popular payment options, including credit cards, PayPal, Google Checkout, Checkout by Amazon and more.
The setup fee for your store is a low $49.95 and monthly plans are based on the number of products in your store (ranging from $24.95/month for 100 products to $299.95/month for unlimited products).
There are no transactions fees, unlike other hosted e-commerce solutions.
It’s easy to import products if you are switching from another platform.
Support is offered online through tutorials and videos, a customer forum and by phone or email.
All plans, regardless of size, come with all features and support options (unlike many other hosted e-commerce solutions).
