Who We Are
This website is owned by Danielle Mead dba Duck Soup E-Commerce. Our website address is http://ducksoupecommerce.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you submit a contact form on our website, we collect the data shown on the contact form (typically name, email address and project details). This information is transmitted to us via email and is used solely to contact you about your project. Information submitted through our contact forms is not stored in our website database or used for marketing purposes.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
This website uses Google Analytics to collect non-personally identifiable (anonymous) user data about site visitors. We use this data to understand how users interact with our website and improve it. If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you may do so by installing a browser plugin located here.

Who we share your data with
We do not share site or user data with any partners or third parties unless you contract to do business with Duck Soup E-Commerce and give us permission to create a BigCommerce store account on your behalf. In that case, we share your name and business name with BigCommerce when setting up your store account. BigCommerce is based in the US and is a participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and committed to providing best-in-class service and data protection. You can check its participation in the Privacy Shield here on the official site of The International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Department of Commerce.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you submit a contact form, we retain that data for as long as is necessary to respond to your message. After that, contact form data is deleted within six months.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
