How do I change [name of payment gateway] to Credit/Debit Card?

If you’ve placed a test order on your website (which you should definitely do every once in a while), you may have noticed that your payment method in checkout says “Braintree” or “Authorize.net” or “Stripe”. Shoppers don’t know what those payment methods mean. They just want to pay with a credit or debit card.

To change the display name of your payment method, go to Store Setup > Payments. Click the tab at the top that corresponds with your credit/debit payment method. At the top of that screen, you’ll see the display name. Change it to Credit/Debit Card (or something similar) and save.
