I entered a meta title and description for my homepage/category/product but Google isn’t showing it.

If you’re trying to improve your organic search traffic, you’ve likely entered meta titles and descriptions for your homepage, category pages and product pages. However, when you check Google, you may notice that your desired text isn’t displaying.

Meta titles and descriptions are only suggestions for Google. Ultimately Google decides whether the text you’ve supplied is relevant and descriptive of the page’s content. If Google doesn’t think your text accurately describes the page, they may choose other text from the given page instead.
