How do I add ALT tags to product photos?

Go to Products > View. Search or browse for the product you want to edit. Click on the product name to edit it.

Go to the product images area – you can access that from the top navigation V2 or via the left side navigation on V3.

Next to each photo, you’ll see a text box labeled Image Description. Add your ALT tag for each photo in that field. Make sure to save when finished.

Keep in mind that ALT tags are designed for blind shoppers who use a screen reader to understand the content of images on websites. While ALT tags can be used for SEO, they should still accurately describe the content of the photo. ALT tags should be a short phrase and not a comma separated list of keywords that don’t tell the user what the image is about.
